The Free Companies' Guild is one of the Kouralian Guilds, dedicated to regulating, recognising excellence within, and promoting the interests of private security companies and military contractors within the domestic and international market. Like all guilds it is not necessary to be a member of the guild, however unlike most guilds there is not a single PMC that is not a member of the Guild, and over 75% of private security companies are a member.

Corruption

The Guild has been accused of lobbying and bribing members of the Kouralian Senate and Government to ensure the success of statutes or contracts which are beneficial to the interests of its members. This came to a head in 2016 when it was announced that two of Her Majesty's Principal Justiciars of State were under investigation by the Treasury Guard for misconduct in a public office and bribery. The Justiciars were Tsachyra Ceþu, Mainland Justiciar and Robert Strong, War Justiciar. However, after six months the investigation was concluded due to evidential difficulties including the disappearance of certain documents and the unfortunate suicide of a particular witness.
