Hayreniky is a geographic and administrative region of Syara. Known to most Syarans as the Clans, Hayreniky is the smallest of the Realms in terms of size and population. Separated from the rest of Syara by its unique cultural and linguistic traits, most of the Clans early history is shrouded in mystery. The Clans were the last of Syara's main ethnic group to develop a written language, leaving much of their origin up to oral sagas passed down through the generations. Although originally suspected to be related to the Bastarnae, modern scholarship has identified the Clans as being closely related to the Hayeren ethnic group of Ruvelka, whom the Clans share a common lineage and language with.

Hayreniky was the only part of Syara not incorporated into the Makedonian Empire during the reign of Orestes II. While not part of the Empire, the Clans were heavily influenced by Makedonian culture and formed the basis of Zobethos Fundamentalism, resulting in the steady erosion of the Hellenic Pantheon in favor of worship of Mother Gaia. Growing religious fanaticism steadily came to dominate Clan culture and society, resulting in a crusade that came to be known as the Clan Invasion in 498 CE, which resulting in the subjugation of Hayreniky by the Makedonians after the devastation of much of central Syara. After the Fall of the Makedonian Empire and the conquest of Syara by the Arkoennites, Hayreniky gradually came to resemble the rest of Syara, albiet while maintaing it'd distinct cultural emphasis on martial tradition. The collapse of the Arkoennite Empire led the Clans to reassert themselves as a regional power, leading to repeated conflicts with neighboring Ruvelka. The threat of the Clans ultimately contributed to the foundation of the Ruvelkan Imperium, while the threat of unified Ruvelka in turn led to the Unification of Syara. The Clans heavily supported the rise in Syaran nationalism that followed the Republic of Syara's victory in the Divide War, although Hayreniky was hit hard during the Broken Years following Syara's defeat in the Siduri War. The Clans served as the heart of the Wardens during the Refusal War, and afterwards were recognized as one of the four Realms of the newly founded Commonality.

Culturally and linguistically distinct among Syara's ethnic groups, the Clans maintain long held traditions stepped in martial pride and mysticism intermixed with Zobethos Fundamentalism. The smallest and the poorest of the Realms, Hayreniky's economy is centered mostly on mining, logging and subsistence farming. Dominated by marshes, thick forests, hills and occasional grasslands, Hayreniky is the least urbanized of Syara's Realms. It maintains it's own unique government structure, known as the Grand Council, which is served by delegates from each of the major Clans. The elected leader of the Grand Council is known as the ilKhan, although the Clans still participate in national elections in the same manner as other Syaran citizens. Partially autonomous, the Clans do not recognize a distinct political capital; the most populated city is Dateva.
