Honalulu (Also known as the Union of Honulite Socialist Systems) is a a small galactic nation having control of 2 systems and a population of 16 Billion people.
Etymology
Honalulu is a literal translation from Kiv’nava to English means “Sheltered Harbor”, or “Calm Harbor”, Honalulu’s old name was Kou which derived from Tin’vaak.
History
Rise of Socialism (2070's to 2080's)
In the last decades of the old world, where consumerism and end-stage capitalism dominated Honalulu and eroded its semi-collective and traditional values. Pollution was rampant and slowly reformists and socialists began to pop up and slowly change the political landscape from the 2010's to the 2070's. Eventually the 7th of October 2077 on the establishment of the Union of Honulite Socialist Systems though albeit a weakened one compared to the current where states had more autonomy and the Federal Government had less power.
A reforms to strengthen the Federal continued the new government had to confront the growing problem of secessionist movements within the sovereign republics. Within 2086 the Honulite Ground Forces clamped down on these secessionist movements and instilled martial law for decades to come until the sovereign republics powers were slowly subsumed by the UHSS Global Government.
Rise of ADG (2090's to 2100's)
Remnants of the capitalist system still came to fruition and hardliners wished to push forward with a total eradication of capitalist elements and the the erasure of them. Hardliners attempted a coup against the government. The coup was quickly crushed due to the rebels having overstretched themselves, but at great cost in both manpower and materials. Abzu Distribution Group - at that time the hand of the government that provided civilians in charge of distributing those goods and jobs equally amongst the population - requested the authorization to establish its own security force, arguing that the Honulite Armed Forces did not have the resources to defend all of its facilities.
The government gave ADG permission to do so. Which had then backfired spectacularly on Wahai, as it led to ADG becoming more and more independent from the Government and becoming its own entity. This relationship would be a secret handshake between ADG and the Government of the UHSS where the two would agree that they wouldn't step on one another's toes and try to mutually work out a proper relationship. With ADG preventing and taking down new successionist movements via covert action and diplomacy. ADG being the sole provider of goods and services to the people and the nation slowly leverages their position to gain political power, military power, and resources from the nation.
