'''House of Lazin''', more times referred to as “the Lazin Clan" or inaccurately as the “Lazin dynasty” or' simply Lazin is an Akai imperial clan of Akai descent and a cadet branch of the Gghaangpa dynasty from Emperor Snaghkhftaang. Lazin Emperors and later Ditus ruled Lazinato and latter Akai from the 11th century to the 20th century and again in the present day.
==Overview==
The Lazin Clan is one of the most prominent branches of the ancient House of Zun. It, unlike many contemporary monarchies, the Lazin Clan still retains absolute and totalitarian political power within [[Akai (Esquarium)|Akai]] society. The Lazin Clan has ruled Akai since 1923 and Lazinato since 1027 for several generations, and still little about the family is publicly confirmed. Qagmüg Lazin rebelled against the Gghaangpa Thearchy on the basis that he was the rightful heir to the dynasty, which led to his self-imposed exile to Lazinato. The Lazins ruled the island more or less along their lines until the Black branch of the family seized control and eventually unified Akai in 1923 at the end of the Intercernine Period under Ditu [[Sunzhi Lazin|Lunkian]]. Under Lunkian, there developed a personality cult which was strongest in his demesne and which manifested across the nation that contributed to his uncontested 70-year rule and extended to his family, including his mother [[Qiu Lazin]] (known as the "Mother of the Nation"), his father ("the tragic general" and the “golden heir”) and his wives (the "mother of the nation") The principle strong and absolute leadership of a solitary great leader, known as the Tuwuang (独王), is central to the Akai [[Sinprapka|Neolegalist]] philosophy upon which the government was initially based. While his successor [[Qiakra]] was a weak monarch his heir [[Jieke Lazin|Gunqang]] was not, with the implementation of a totalitarian system and the strengthening of the Neolegalist aspects of his grandfather’s early reign via the [[Thastfung reforms]]. Worship of the Lazins became mandatory. Scholar Bendiktas Volframaitis wrote in [[The Fortress Kingdom]] that the Lazin clan represented "one of the last bastions of absolutism, incarnated in a totalitarian form .”
 
==Origins and Family History==
The origins of the current rulers of Akai lies in the fall of the Gghaangpa Dituate and the falling ash period which condemned Akai to centuries of war. The world they came from was a violent one; it was without order to stability in a world where everyone wanted to be sovereign. Their origins lie in a bastard born to the last Ditu of Akai in 1002, [[Ditu ]]. The child was born to a concubine his daughter — Lady Mei Meiling Chihu. The child was called Qagmüg Lazin and was acknowledged by the old Ditu Gghünggag as his offspring. What was important was that child was unusual with regard to its characteristic; seemed almost albino, with red eyes, white hair and pale skin. His role in Akai history only happened in 1022, however, when he was an excellent warrior and competent sailor. Ditu Gghünggag Lazin died in bed, however, according to some servants present, he had named Qagmüg as his true heir over his legitimate children due to prophecy. This came to the dismay of the four legitimate sons of Gghünggag who had their own claims. They were each married into the kingly clans of the realm, each the most powerful in their respective areas and those and several such as the Xuan and Cangbai. But, none recognised the right of Qagmüg to rule, disbelieving the late Ditu's words and regarding them as Qagmüg's own in his quest for power.
 
So when Huajian declared himself Ditu of Akai due to his ties with Clan Oato - the most powerful in Akai at the time;7~456+ wielding a total of 250,000 men on top of Huajian's own host of 45,000 men, he did take the capital of Günlang with ease (although impressive defences of Qung  although that island to stay out of the conflict almost completely). Fucheng, Honggang and Juajian all fled before returning to their allies each declaring for themselves. This conflict was marked with the eruption of Mount Zigao in Eastern Keng leaving the skies slightly darker as they began to fight what would become a series of wars to last two centuries. Meanwhile Qagmüg remained somewhat loyal to the "Ditu" Huajian I Oato, proving to be a most capable general although the internal bureaucracy often downplayed his successes and demoted him several times despite his service. However he was eventually given charge of the Akai Supreme fleet by Huajian in 1252, being named Dashihaiyang master of the seas. He was told to protect the seas from the Cangbai fleets from Yaosai serving his uncle Fucheng, still fighting into old age. However, with the loyalty of his captains secured after many lossless victories against the Cangbai fleets, Qagmüg declared himself Supreme lord of Lazin and fled with the fleet to what would later become Lazinato under him. The term Tianwang would later come to be adopted as the Akai term for emperor or heavenly king although it is officially considered as such in 1190 when Emperor Kaizan named himself Emperor of Lazinato once more. Their disloyalty secured the Oato's failure to unite Akai under them leaving it open to attack from the sea as well as also taking a significant chunk of their total manpower. Combined with their mismanagement of their vast realm, they ended up signing blossoming flower accords in which all the descendants of the four claimants decided to found their own empire's (technically supreme lordships).  They all abandoned their claims to the Dituate in order to prevent another series of conflict like the falling ash period.
 
Yet Clan Lazin and a few other Clans with claims either didn’t sign to the accords, this refusal to join up in this spared the Lazins from latter outcry when they latter came with their own claim in 1895.
 
Emperor Kaizan earned the respect of his people through his just if harsh rule which ended the violence caused by the Clan ships internal bickering. He used the remains of some of the smaller ships to build a bridge to what would eventually become Kaizangong - the seat of the Lazins while quarrying the land to build the city of Xinzuo. He also mounted various other expeditions around the Tempesta leading him to the Shrailleen Islands, Ceti and eventually Ghant in search of new allies, trade routes and potential settlements. It was in the court of [[List of Ghantish monarchs#House_Magnussunn|King Magnus V of Ghant]] after a terrible storm which wrecked a good section of the fleet that Kaizan offered his son the latter Emperor Tiao-Li I to him as a ward as well as a sword traditionally wielded by the Ditu’s of Akai. While Tiao-Li would spend years of his life in the court of Magnus, and his successor Edward VII Gentry, Kaizan would return back to Akai and father a child who would eventually succeed him -  Xianzhu who married his sisters - resuming the old Akai tradition of incestuous marriage.

==Wealth==
The finances and personal wealth of the Lazins are immense due to the heavy involvement of the family in the Akai economy and furthermore its huge amounts of property, possessions and valuable objects on top of the boons gained from the Akai tax surplus. The Ditu is the chief arbiter of all Lazin wealth, which is delegated to the rest of his family on his whims. It is widely believed that the Lazin’s wealth is almost inseparable with that of the Akai state’s due to the bizarre legal relationship between them meaning that all owned by the Akai State is also owned by Clan Lazin as their private property. He possesses an income which is managed by [[His Holy and Most Exalted Perfection's Estates and Holdings]], which also manages his vast wealth. ZhK is intriguingly one of the largest property owners in all of Akai, seemingly used as a sovereign wealth fund on top of familial asset and wealth management. The total assets are officially declared be $1.298 trillion, making them some of the richest royals and entities in Cornellia. This is something which is accomplished through of near-universal majority ownership of shares of the majority of all Akai corporate groups, the direct ownership of unclaimed land, the renting of many lands within cities, among other things. While owning vast sections of land and considerably large amounts of property in Günlang and in the Lazinatoese cities. Other sources of income from an on average 25% ownership of Akai businesses, several billion yearly in revenue from taxes. There also is the Sovereign Wealth Fund/Asset Management company which is also operated by investments abroad. Knowledge of this number is kept a secret to the Akai population at large. 
 
The family of the Ditu can both rely upon familial subsidy and also their own finances from their titles on top of being able to claim profits from their own wages and corporations. In 2014, the then {{wp|Taizi}}, the Holy Duke of Xiaoxia Liannu had an income of 630 million Lazin Yuan from his own personal assets most of which are inherited and was worth 23 billion Lazin Yuan. Another example is Prince Yanfeng whose ownership of the Waidiyi group has led to speculation that he is worth around 29 billion USD.
 
All members of Clan Lazin are legally exempt from all taxes, thanks to Ditu decree and precedent and nor are their assets subject to taxes either. This has allowed men like Prince Yanfeng to profit immensely and disproportionately when compared with his competitors. Furthermore, the monarch has no obligation or does any other members of the Imperial Family to pay taxes.

These are divided into the Lazin personal households which the Ditu possesses in trust with Clan Lazin, the Imperial Palaces which are held by the Ditu personally, the pleasure palaces which are also held by the Ditu’s directly and finally the various estates which go with them. The main seat of the Lazins lies in the island of Qung  also more famously known as the Dǎo de gōngdiàn or Island of Palaces where the new seat of Da Migong was constructed. Taking over a decade to complete the vast complex, it also moved the Kneeling Colossi Throne as well.
