Madeleine Amaranth, Countess of Fydelia

Madeleine Amaranth, Countess of Fydelia (Madeleine Daniella Amaranth; born 21 October 1984), is Skavandian peeress, socialite and philanthropist. She was the former fiancée of both brothers Prince Leonardo, Duke of Cordonia and King Liam.

She grew up in the Town of Pillsberry in the Skavandian borough of Amaranth and is a member of the House of Amranth. She studied world history at the University of Basel in Basel, Switzerland, from 2003 to 2009. As a noblewoman, she first met the Skavandian royal family during her toddler years at Skavand's social season events; her mother Adelaide, Duchess of Krona, was in the close circle of Queen Eleanor and later Queen Regina The Queen Mother.

In 2002, the Countess became engaged to the heir apparent to the Skavandian throne Prince Leonardo, then Prince of Skavand. The announcement was received positively and she was expected to become the future queen. However, in the same year, the Royal Court of Skavand annulled posthumously the marriage of King Constantine and the late Princess Matilda and removed Prince Leonardo as heir apparent, making his younger half-brother Prince Liam the heir apparent. It was reported that Madeleine was furious about the ruling and the couple decided to end their engagement.

During the social season of 2021, Madeleine was mentioned as one of the top contenders to be potential consorts to then-Prince Liam, along with Olivia Nevrakis, Duchess of Lythikos, Lady Hana Lee, Lady Penelope Theron, Lady Kiara Theron and Lady Riley Lopes, Countess Beaumont. The press initially referred to her as a "shallow social climber" but her favorability improved near the Appleblossum festival. On the night of the 2021 Applemanor ball, it was expected that the Countess Beaumont would be selected as the fiancée of the Prince. After a scandal broke out with Lady Riley and Tariq Fayed that evening, the Prince announced Madeline as his consort. The engagement lasted two weeks before the Lopes–Al Saadi scandal was reveled to be a campaign to discredit Lady Lopes and the photographs in the scandal were staged. The King ended his engagement with Madeleine and subsequently announced his engagement to Lady Lopes.
