Marques Swen is the current President of the Republic of Duquesne. He serves as the President, the Commander-In-Chief of the Duquesne National Military, and Head of the Christian Democratic Party. He is up for re-election for a third presidential term this fall. Template:Infobox politician Marques Swen was elected president in 2005 by a Christian Democratic majority in the Duquesne National Delegation, and is wrapping up his 2nd term at the beginning of next year. Marques Swen began his political career as a local representative in Terre-Moyenne, where he served in its provincial representative body for 15 years. He became the province's head of the Christian Democratic Party, and was elected governor, where he served for 27 years. He stepped down as governor just before the end of his 4th term, where he returned to his old district, but he was quickly named the new National Delegate for Terre-Moyenne, where he served for 8 years before he was elected President of the Republic of Duquesne in 2002. He is running for re-election, but with the flip of his home province Terre-Moyenne to an Agrarian majority, combined with the Agrarian flip of several other aforenamed provinces, his chances for re-election as president are slim.
