The Midwest Armed Forces is the military force of the Midwest Union. Comprised of 3 branches, the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Midwestern Army

Affectionately named "The Purple Army", mixing the Soviet name for the "Red Army" due to relations, and the blue stereotype of the lakes which surround the nation's north border.

Avtomat Kalashnikov for the Midwest (Russian: Avtomat Kalashnikova dlya Srednego Zapada)

Designed in the Soviet Union, imported, and later manufactured in the Midwest. .223

1979 Seen especially in use by officers, Department of Civilian Defense, and local police.

State Branches

Militias and State Defense Forces are still considered under the command of the MAF, albeit they are self-governing unless called upon.

Dakota

Dakota, being the newest state entered to the Union, only has Militias.
