Nikolai Vladimirovich Ubotrov (born 6 July 1980) is an Beleroskovian politician currently serving as the 4th President of Beleroskov. Before assuming the Presidency in 2008, he was a independent politician and BIC officer. Ubotrov was born in Koyevka and studied law at Koyevka State University, graduating in 1975. Ubotrov worked as a BIC foreign intelligence officer for 16 years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, before resigning in 1991 to begin a political career. In 1996, Ubotrov joined the administration of President Boris Polsva. He served as Director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) and Secretary of the Security Council, before being appointed as Prime Minister in August 1999. After the resignation of Polsva, Putin became Acting President, and less than four months later was elected outright to his first term as president. Joseph Tevakoski defeated Ubotrov in his attempt for reelection in 2004, although Ubotrov countered and defeated Tevakoski in 2008, winning reelection in 2012, '16, and '20.
