The PKA-9 Aspis is a Willinkian hypersonic surface-to-air missile/anti-ballistic missile/anti-satellite missile system. Designed in the 2010's by Willinkian defense contractor SNRI, the Aspis is designed to provide medium to long range theatrical air defense, replacing a multitude of disparate system employed by Willinkian air defense units. The Aspis' design features were influenced by Willinkian combat experiences in the Presto-Clandonian war, which saw widespread use of saturation attacks, stealth aircraft and hypersonic weapon systems by both sides. Predominantly operated from a mobile launch vehicle, the Aspis is designed to engage and destroy a range of aerial targets, including enemy aircraft, drones, hypersonic ballistic missiles and cruise missiles, electronic warfare platforms, spacecraft, and low-orbit satellites and weapon platforms.
