Pacalay or Calaysia, officially the Pacalay Chancellery, is the most populous country of the Wider Realms. The largest state in the Southern realms, the geography of Pacalay is diverse and vast. The largest and capital city is Unna, and Dalo is the second-largest. Its large population is composed of both large rural and urban sectors.

The Pacalay nation is said to be founded by the first emperor Amat who defended Calays during the legendary Southern Wars. The Pacalay Empire arose in the 6th century as a powerful polity and lasted until its dissolution in 1911 following the bloodless Parliamentary Revolution. The newly established Chancellery suffered during the East-West War with its neutrality disrespected by both belligerents. After the Slowdown, Pacalay recovered remarkably during the Southern Miracle.

The country is a unitary parliamentary directorial republic with a multi-member executive known as the Chancellorship. The Pacalay National Force are the country's military; its forces are stationed internationally in Molria. Pacalay ground forces are engaged against armed gangs in the north and east; the Pacalay navy is engaged with pirates off its eastern coast.

Pacalay is a considerable power with a large economy largely focused on industry and services, with an enourmous agricultural sector. Pacalay is a founding member of the Organization of Nations and leads the Friendship of Nations League. A nominally democratic state, crackdowns on civil rights are divisive in Calaysian poltics.
