Pure Engagement is a Nihhonese manga series by Sakurashi Kusakawa. The manga was serialized in CircleSoft's seinen magazine in December 2008 up to today. An anime adaptation produced by Amaze Entertainment and directed by the author aired in Nihhon-koku between July and December 2014, and a second season is currently in production. Both seasons are licensed in Europa and Asianna by Tailbend. The central character of the series is Minato Naoe, a Ronin who failed college examinations twice. His life changes, however, when he meets a girl named Musubi.

Live Action: Tsukiumi Kurahashi
Tsukiumi (09) is a Karada with a tsundere personality and a Western appearance that first appeared to Minato Naoe in a dream saying that she would kill him. She wears a black and white dress and brown boots over black thigh-high stockings with brown garters.

In the live-action series, She is portrayed by Tsukiumi Kurahashi. A mere coincidence sharing the same name and almost appearance. In an interview behind-the-scenes, Tsukiumi mentioned that she decided to keep her hairstyle the same way that she sported for her character as well as the dress since she finds it to be rather "fun" and exciting.
