Thyra of Denmark (Thyra Louise Caroline Amalie Augusta Elisabeth; 14 March 1880 – 2 November 1945) was Queen consort of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions from 1928 until her death in 1945 as the wife of William IV of the United Kingdom, and a member of the Danish royal family by birth. She was the sixth child and third daughter of King Frederick VIII and Queen Louise of Denmark, and was also the younger sister of King Christian X of Denmark and King Haakon VII of Norway.
