The Süd Eisennau Lige 1, is a professional association football league in South Eisennau. At the top of the South Eisennaun football league system, Lige 1 is South Eisennau's primary football competition. Lige 1 comprises 18 teams and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Lige 2. Seasons run from August to May. Most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, with a few games played on weekdays. All of the Lige 1 clubs qualify for the FSE-Pokal. The winner of the Bundesliga qualifies for the FSE-Supercup.

43 clubs have competed in Lige 1 since its founding. 1. VfS Völksbourg 1897 has won the title 13 times, the most among Lige 1 clubs. However, Lige 1 has seen other champions, with SF Nuenbeck 1916 (3), BV Freikau 07 e.V. (2), Aarstadt SC (1), TSV Oftgarten 09 (2), and 1. FC Amkirch (4) most prominent among them.

Lige 1 was founded in 1994 in Völksbourg and the first season started in 1995. The structure and organization of Lige 1, along with South Eisennau's other football leagues, have undergone frequent changes.
