Currently the language is spoken by only people of high status, but it will be introduced and taught in schools starting in the 1445-1446 (Islamic calendar) School year. Salahtubya is usually the speakers 3rd or 4th language and hasn't been around long enough for people to speak it as a first or second languages (except in some cases). The language is closely related to both English and Arabic along with other Semetic languages.
