Sharifistani military doctrine

"Stealth, speed, strength" is the name used to summarise the military doctrine of Sharifistan. It involves a handful of well-planned stealth strikes followed by the prompt application of overwhelming military numbers to the disrupted enemy base, encampment or formation. As such the Army and Air Cavalry have more importance to the doctrine than the Navy (with the exception of the Naval Ghazi Corps).

Effectiveness

Sharifistani military doctrine is known to be effective due to a number of victories such as in the Sharifistani-Krasivaya War. It is debated whether it would be effective against the Munkcestrian Republic

Controversy

A controversial aspect of Sharifistani military doctrine used to be to lose men rather than certain types of materiel such as tanks etc. due to Sharifistan's high population and high military numbers. This was considered immoral by various other countries. Though the Sharifistani military have never officially admitted to doing this it has been inferred by the decisions of Generals and senior Air Cavalry officers. This type of thinking has been condemned in an order signed by the Prince-Regent of Sharifistan saying "officers should notsacrifice the lives of their troops purely to save money"
