The Special Operations Command (SOC) was formed in 1819 as a separate branch of the Fresian Armed Forces for experienced soldiers from the Kaiserliche Armee des Reiches before it was turned over as a branch of the Military Intelligence Agency in 1933 as a more armed response to extreme threats that couldn't be dealt with by normal military means. The Special Operations Command has its main headquarter in Viriwacht and currently has 88,000 operatives under its command and a budget of $9,740,500,000.

Military Structure

A standard SOC Stormtroopers Company consists of 40 Riflemen, 15 Machine Gunners, 5 Radiomen, and 20 Combat Engineers. A standard SOC Mechanized Company consists of 40 Riflemen, 15 Machine Gunners, 5 Radiomen, and 9 BTR-90. A standard SOC Special Air Service Company consists of 60 Riflemen, 15 Machine Gunners, and 5 Radiomen. A standard SOC Armoured Company consists of 6 BMD-3.

Notable Units

The SOC makes many temporary units for certain situations and is usually disbanded once the mission is over but some units are kept active permanently for their foreseeable future due to the experience gained from certain operations. These units are usually made up of the most experienced personnel and form the backbone of these squads alongside their notoriety in Olivicia. However these squads can be deactivated which is normally done when the unit has either served its purpose and are no longer needed or lack the specialized personnel needed to keep the squad operational, this protocol can be enacted upon any of the squads through a vote from a combination of the MIA Director, SOC Central Commander, and Squad Commander. Some notable units currently active are listed below and should be taken as examples of the overall reason why these squads are created but not the specific purpose of all the squads under SOC command.

SOC Alpha-12 “Blue Caps”

Special Operations Command Alpha-12 designated “Blue Caps” comprises the most trained operatives within the Military Intelligence Agency and Special Operations Command whose background comprises 10 years of military service and 4 years of Special Operations Command, this task force is responsible for the protection and assistance of the Prime Minister and Chief of Staff whatever their endeavours might be. Alpha-13 is equipped with the Fresian AR-7 as a standard issue rifle, DAL-BIII bullet-resistant vest, dressed over by a blue khaki uniform as to express their role to the public as a security force and not a military unit.

SOC Castle-6 “Royal Knights”

Special Operations Command Castle-6 designated “Royal Knights” consists of the royal family's personal housekeepers and governesses who have been knighted by the crown for their service, worked for the royal family for at least 10 years, and pass the Civilian Special Military Exam (CSME) conducted by Alpha-12 and Delta-6 where they will either be rejected or their application will be sent to the monarch to be inspected for knighthood which then will allow them to be trained everything from basic military training to specialized combat courses with the purpose to protect the Royal Family in any situation which may pose a threat to the monarch and their household while also performing their normal duties, Castle-6 has some Alpha-12 and Delta-6 senior operatives acting as inspectors and officers and are commonly seen disguised as part of the royal family's staff. The "Royal Knights” are commonly issued the AP-6 with a strap, a concealable P4A3, a black-white maid dress along with a red mob-cap for females or a black-white suit with a blue beret for males which are worn over their DAL-BIII bullet-resistant vest but an operative can choose to not wear their standard issued clothing during their free time outside the palace.

SOC Phantom-12 “International Detectives”

Special Operations Command Phantom-12 designated “International Detectives” is made up of agents around the world who have infiltrated various federal or provincial law enforcement agencies, and military branches, This SOC unit is tasked with gathering information useful to the Fresian Government in the pursuit of world peace, blackmailing or foreign government intentions, they are also tasked with the elimination or capture of People of Interest (PoI).
