Artist impression of the crown

The Stjärnkhrone is the original crown of the Stjärnkhrone royal house from when they were the kings of the riverlands rather than high kings of Imeriata or the absolute royal federation. The crown itself is from where the family takes their name but it was sadly enough lost long before the house formally became known as the Stjärnkhrone house and before were they simply named after their fathers as commoners are today among Scanderans.

The crown itself is described as being a simple circlet made from dark iron taken from a meteorite and was described in sagas as "rippled and uneven on the outside as the ocean on a stormy night" while some rare stories says that it is "rippled like the runesilver but smooth too look upon" however most scholars agree that the crown itself were most likely uneaven on the outside of dark almost black metal. It is also said to have had a brick of silver in the front with a holy rune offering protection to the wearer. The same stories goes on to describe two bands of silver covering the bottom and top of the crown with evening emeralds hanging from silver chains surrounding the head.

Creation

It was said that the crown was forged from a star that fell in love with an old king of the riverlands who is called the star king or Eralk starlover and in return was loved by the king. This king is often called the sky ruler and it was said that he at night rode up with his horse to the skies themselves and there courted the star. However her brother also desired the star and one day did he force himself upon her and slew her when he had used her. Her body did he throw down among the lands before Imerburg and one crater that could previously be found in the city was often pointed to as the proof of the story. It was said that she laid dying and crying in the arms of her king and from her eyes fell evening emeralds and she turned into iron as her life left her.

In his fury did the king melt her body and from her heart did he make the crown but from her arms did he make a mighty sword and a mighty shield, from her legs did he have mail hosens made and from her torso did he have a mighty hauberk carved.

Armed with this did Eralk ride up furiously demanding bloody vengeance upon the brother of his lover. Screaming for blood and demanding to carve the blood eagle upon his back did he come knocking on the halls of the star but the star in terror fled and angrily did the Starlover return to earth. He then is said to have spoken with the gods about getting his vengeance but the gods admitted that nobody is faster than a star. However Arkar was moved by his story and is said to have given him a pair of skis that would make him as fast as a star.

Eralk returned home and gave his crown and kingdom to his oldest son before he sett off and drove the brother before him. Even to this day can it be said that the brother still flees in terror and Eralk starlover follows him furiously demanding vengeance among the stars.

Current state

What happened to the crown is unknown and even if the Stjärnkhrones had the crown when they donned the silver crown is a matter of debate. There are as man tales about how the crown was lost ranging from it being stolen by the beast that lives in innanhafet, that it was burnt with the body of Hylfrid when his father demanded vengeance with quickfire. Other stories tells about a trickster spirit stealing or tricking the kings to give it up, while more absurd ones goes so far that the brother returned to earth still hunted by Eralk and snapped the crown up to taunt his eternal hunter.

However despite this does the Stjärnkhrone family still offer a handsome reward for the return of the crown and the old reward about the finders weight in gold and as many sheep, wolves, mammoths, and cows as he already own is still to this day officially offered to any individual lucky to find it.
