The Kingdom of Thakia, commonly known as Thakia is a Semi-Constitutional Monarchy located in The world of Terra Nova. Thakia includes the island of Thakia, and many smaller islands. The Kingdom was formed from the dissolution of the Thakian Empire in 1856, This state is a direct successor to the Empire but his policies are less authoritarian. Thakia covers 7.426 million square kilometers (Only on the main island) and has an estimated population of 864 million with 60% of the population living on the main island and 40% scattered across the other territories of the kingdom. The country consists of 13 Regions and 4 territories. It is an island, and it doesn't share borders with any nation.

The Kingdom of Thakia is a world power in Terra Nova, Is a founding member of The Southern pact of Nations, and posses the strongest naval force of the world.

The capital of Thakia is Novgyrod, located in the Gynda, and the largest settlement is the town of Sakyas.

History

The first record of a "Thakian" state was the Kingdom of Novgyrod, This kingdom was formed by a mage called Valsnik I, This man united the tribesman of Northern Thakia under his banner and defeated the invasions of the first empire of Trymia (ancient predecessor to the actual Trymian state)

The Empire of Thakia was created when the kingdom of Novgyrod and the kingdom of Silveria united under King Sarvican IV of Novgyrod "The Great" in 1743,The new Empire began expanding his influence to nearby islands and creating a strong economy, This led to econoomic rivalries with Shorya that would result in the war of the 10 years between Thakia and Shorya, in 1813 the war ended with a white peace that didn't favor any nation, This created a sentiment of hatred for the government and the monarchy, That escalated into the Thakian civil war that raged from 1843 to 1847 and ended with a loyalist victory, After the victory in the civil war, Emperor Antimonos I wrote the Card of Renounce in which he renounces to a lot of royal rights and transforms Thakia from an Empire to a Kingdom, When Antimonos I "The Sad" dies in 1856 without finishing his final reform, a book called "The Codex" that was meant to restructure the entirety of Thakian Politics, his son Phoenidas IV "The Wise" takes the throne and enacts a series of transformations in the economy and armed forces that result in a modernized navy and a mixed approach to economy, He finished the Thakian Codex, and also during the reign of Phoenidas IV some social problems started brewing in Thakia and by the time of his death in 1961 these problems were apparent. In 1961 King Tradominas I took the throne and started a process of Isolation from the rest of the world in an attempt to stop this instability that he blamed on foreign influence, This process ended with his sudden death in 1998 and the rise of Antimonos II to the throne.
