The Treasury Guard of the Crown Union of Kouralia (Vygelas aþ’Tesoro in High Kouralian) is a national law enforcement organisation which has responsibility for leading, supporting, and coordinating investigations into serious & organised crime, Thaumic-enabled or Thaumic-Dependent crime, and matters of national security. The Treasury Guard is primarily an investigative service, though it does have a number of operational units which are staffed both by central and seconded staff.
The Treasury Guard's history stretches back to before the start of the Common Era from the specific Cohort of guards and assorted cavalry and auxiliaries dedicated to protecting the Treasury of Kurton and other key tasks in ancient times. It is no longer a part of the Magnostæ aþe’Kynessym, and since the turn of the 21st century has been a civilian service.
