William IV (William Leopold George Augustus; 4 June 1886 - 11 February 1958) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions of the Commonwealth from 14 August 1928 until his death in 1958, and Emperor of India from 1928 until 1947.

William was born during the reign of his grandfather, King George V. When his father came to the throne in 1902, he became heir apparent to the British throne. In 1913, he married Princess Thyra of Denmark, the third daughter of Frederick VIII of Denmark. They had four children- Louise, William, Frederick, and Henry.
