History
The history of the carrakigan duocracy story begins with Kijians. The Kijians were a super advanced civilisation who had gained mastery of their planet and Solar system. In a different solar System there was a planet of insectoid people who were called the calinids. They were spliced with 45% mammalian DNA and 5% Kijian DNA to create a moth like huminoid.They planed to use this new species to settle the nothern and sothern hemispheres of a the newly descoverd planet these people were newly christened the kaharans.
This new species were put to the task but resistance in the south was to great and chose to take over the far north. Though successful the north didn’t have the same amount of raw Materials needed to keep the empire stable this was the first domino in a great chain which would spell the end of the Kijian empire.
The colony was soon cut off from the empire being seen as a useless frozen rock by the kijian high Parliament. Soon a Financial crash took place this only made problems worse and led to the Kigian civil war.
This war would last for 200 years with the empire split in two between the traditonal old Government and the new Kijian Equity fighters. The end of this war would be marked by the Drake bomb a super weapon so powerful it made a debris cloud called the fog of war so dangerous no space ship could pass through. This cloud cut through half of the universe, and stoped the Kijians from ever invading the world again.
Igan and Carric
The two kijians Igan and Carric were best friends for as long as they could remember.Igan was extremely intelligent and was sent to the great kijian high School of bio-chemistry. He was top of his class. The Kijan people practised fire magic which was highly destructive in nature. This ment that in their culture the ability to perform magic was highly regulated with only the best being given the opportunity. Igan was given this training but never truly mastered it and though he can perform some great feets of destructive power he doesn’t use magic often generally only when needed. He also made one extremely important invention: the ABCD or (Advanced bio containment dome). This invention allows for a biome that can be sustained in a bunker like dome despite the outside climate conditions. The high Parliament of the kijians dismissed this invention saying that the older generator heaters were better and cheaper. Igan Was enraged and always held a grudge against them for this.
Carric however took a more militaristic path in life. He decided to apply for the high school for battle priests. In the Kijian religion the church of the two headed dragon each head represents the two truths of the universe according to the Kijians creation and destruction. These two truths were represented by Skanmos head of creation and driz Head of destruction. A Battle priest in their culture was to be The avatar of driz a person who had spent so long musing on destruction they gained an almost deathly aura on the battlefield. they also trained heavily in fire magic and formed what one might consider the kijian officer corps. Carric also was top of his class and mastered the art of fire magic. His greatest feet being when he single-handedly destroyed a heretical town with a blast of fire. He did not hold a grudge against the government but always thought that his friend's invention should have been recognised.
After the failed invasion of the world the Kijians practically gave up on the planet of the first great failure. All but two Igan and Carric. Igan thought that instead of military annihilation the military should have tried trying to convince the local populations to comply rather than be killed. Carric had different reasons but the same belief after a series of visions in his dreams which he believed to be sent by Driz telling him that he needed to flee and start a nation on this planet because according to the visions the entirety of the Empire and the Kijian people would be wiped out. So the two only 6 months before the outbreak of the Kijian civil war fled to this planet.
To the tribes people of the north-east the two ships crashing down were like shooting stars. Upon analysis the two Kijians considered the human star fang tribe to be good candidates and so began the rapid technological growth, genetic engineering and religious conversion. During this period of time the first ABCD was built this dome would soon become the largest city in the duocracy skania. Then it was decided that the rest of the tundra should be conquered and so a 30 year long war started. The war (known as the great tundra war) was brutal and violent with the other tribes not suited for large scale war however because of their nomadic nature they were difficult to locate and assimilate. This is what caused the war to drag on for 30 years.
When the final battle ended Carric looked at the ground and proclaimed "our capital shall lay here were victory stands" On that day the Carrakigan Duocracy was proclaimed. Over the next 400 years more ABCDs were built and the nation grew exponentially. However this nation was not known to wider world as cloaking devices hid the giant megastructures of the domes. Now the kings of this nation believe they are ready for the wide world and shall spread their ideals of faith,strength and hope.
The ABCDs
The ABCD system can be considered the greatest feet of engineering in the Duocracy. It consists of several self replicating hexagon shaped nanomachines. These make a smooth but flexible dome. In the dome gravity,temperature and atmospheric conditions including Wind,rain and snow. The dome is resistant to explosions and extreme weather. The dome can also protect against nuclear explosions by surrounding the point of explosion and slowly funnel more nanomachines until all the
Species Biology
It is very important to distinguish between the different types of draconic peoples in the Duocracy.The first ethnic group in the Duocracy is the Kijians of which there are only two Igan and carric though they are small in number their powers are shocking as the planet they were born on Kijia had its gravitational field slowly increase until it had a force of 862.4N/KG along with putting most of the population through trials with the intent of removing weak genetic lines from the population. To keep this super strength the areas that they live in have artificialy heightened gravity and in situations where they are away from their artificial gravity areas they use AMDS (anti-muscular degradation serum). This is also commonly used by the General population because the ABCDs have a gravitational field strength of 19.6N/KG twice that of earth.The Kijian look like tall draconic people with scales all over their body and horns on their head. Igan has green scales and Carric has red scales.
Dracons are the majority species of the duocracy they come in two sub species Iganic and Carriki. Dracons are 50% human and 50% Kijian all of them have at least two draconic features with the most common features being dragon like arms and legs. Occasionally however a neo-Kijian is born these people are extremely strong having all 4 of their limbs, the bottom half of their torso and half of their head. The other ability of the dracons is their flame breathing. The dracons produce a green substance in the appendix. Which can be thrown up and with a small muscle in the oesophagus lit on fire. They are also immune to all heat and fire based attacks ranging from a flamethrower to superheated plasma guns.
Iganic dracons are the half of the population who’s Kijian DNA is from Igan. There draconic features have green scales and they tend to be shorter on average
