Permission
(Reusing this file)
This image was been taken from eBay which, generally, would mean that free use conditions do not apply. However, there is a version of exactly the same image (in lower resolution) on the British Army's Intelligence Corps' web site (http://www.army.mod.uk/intelligencecorps/index.htm). The web site provides a link to the Army's Crown Copyright page (http://www.army.mod.uk/copyright.htm) which states that "The material featured on this site is subject to Crown Copyright unless otherwise stated." Nowhere on the Intelligence Corps' web site does it state that anything other than Crown Copyright applies to this image. Therefore this image is covered by Crown Copyright as one would expect for a British military portrait. As this image is over 50 years old it is now in the public domain.
