Summary

Description

This front-wheel-drive luxobarge will be sold as an early 2013 model, replacing both the rear-wheel-drive midsize STS and the front-wheel-drive luxobarge DTS, which were both killed in 2011.

Though what I really want to see is a slightly smaller, sporty, luxurious rear-wheel-drive American luxury sedan that can dance with the best of Germany and Japan. Something that the outgoing STS tried to be, but didn't quite succeed at. The CTS is too small, for the record. At least Cadillac is still a bit ahead of Lincoln, whose lineup is now little more than a bunch of overpriced badge-engineered bread-and-butter Fords.

If the formerly lowly Koreans can come up with the Hyundai Genesis (which also happens to be very well suited for long drives on the interstate - like an old-fashioned American land yacht), America can too.

Seen at Los Angeles International Auto Show, 2011.
