English: At the center of the picture Ambroise of Milan sitting on a throne. On his left, Gregory the Great, St. Augustine and St. Jerome, on the right St. John the Baptist, St. Sebastian and St. Louis of Toulouse. In the upper part of the picture Christ crowns the Virgin Mary
Français : Au centre du tableau Ambroise de Milan assis sur un trône. A sa gauche, Grégoire le Grand, saint Augustin et saint Jérôme, à droite saint Jean-Baptiste, saint-Sébastien et saint-Louis de Toulouse. Dans la partie supérieure du tableau le Christ couronne la Vierge Marie.

English: The painting of St. Ambrose was initiated by Alvise Vivarini and completed by the Friulian artist Marco Basaiti he placed the inscription in Latinn: Quod Vivarine tua fatali sorte nequisti, Marcus Basitus nobile prompsit opus 1503.
