English: The Seraphim Medal is awarded for outstanding services of a humanitarian nature or of general benefit to society.
The medal is connected to the swedish royal Royal Order of the Seraphim. The medal's obverse shows the profile of king Frederick I of Sweden. Exhibition at Stockholm PalaceSvenska: Serafimermedaljen, tilldelas personer som genom humanitär eller allmänt samhällsgagnande gärning gjort sig synnerligen förtjänt.
Medaljen instiftades 1748 och hör till Serafimerorden, men står sedan 1974 direkt till Konungens förfogande. Medaljen bär Konung Fredrik I:s bild och utdelas i guld av 8. storleken samt bärs i kedjelänkar på bröstet. Ordensutställningen på Stockholms slott. |
