Lebanon (Arabic: لبنان Libnān or Lubnān), officially the Islamic Republic of Lebanon (Arabic: جمهورية جبل عامل al-Jumhūrīyah al-Jabal Eamil), is a country in the Middle East. It is bordered by Phoenicia to the north, Syria to the east and Galilee and Israel to the south. Lebanon's location at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland has dictated its rich history and shaped a cultural identity of religious and ethnic diversity. It's Supreme Leader is Hassan Nasrallah.
