Marquería is an autonomous community of Pacitalia. Located in the northeastern part of the Pacitalian mainland, it is the second-largest by area and thirteenth-largest by population. It is bordered by the autonomous communities of Alt-Empordà to the west, Antigonia and Montagnera to the southwest, and Franconia to the south. It shares an international boundary with Medovicia on the north and northeast.
Marquería is the only majority Spanish-speaking region in Pacitalia, having originally been part of a viceroyalty of the Spanish Empire before being annexed by Pacitalia after the Spanish-Pacitalian War.
Marquería has had a complicated history as a constituent part of Pacitalia, marked by several periods of insurgency and violence. Though peace has emerged in recent years, a significant nationalist movement and identity remains, due to the linguistic and cultural differences between it and the rest of Pacitalia.
The community's regional council meets in Roquereda; its largest city is Monterio.
