Matthäus Reinhard Sigmund Walkenhorst (19 June 1983) is a former officer in the Schutzstaffel who served in its special projects unit Die Totenkopf Unternehmen. He is also the great-grandson of Reinhard Walkenhorst. Matthäus also became known during and after the Imperial Crisis for exposing more secrets of his unit after being inspired by Brughardt Silzner, which led him to join the Gneisenau Circle, one of the only several SS officers to do so. From his act, the Imperials nicknamed him "Die Hinweisgeber," which is translated as "the Whistleblower."
