1993

  • April 11 : Emergency state declared.
  • April 20 : Terrorists attack youth playing on a football pitch. 9 were killed.
  • June 4 : Murder of the journalist Fath Al Jalali in the casbah of Dar Al Hamma.
  • July 17 : Morning Gazette terrorist attack, two terrorists entered in the newspaper's premises and opened fire. 4 died.
  • July 31 : A group of terrorists was killed in an ambush near Dar Kamel. 33 terrorists were eliminated.
  • August 9 : Terrorists kill 22 civilians in a village 25 kilometers north of Sidi Ghalmat.
  • August 27 : Start of the national curfew in Salamat.
  • September 20 : Majid Muhammad Boulevard terrorist attack, a car bomb exploded in a major artery of Dar Al Hamma, killing 32.
  • October 5 : Murder of the former ministry of finances Dalil Babakar in Dar Al Hamma.
  • October 14 : Douara Bridge terrorist attack, a failed terrorist attack which was aiming a major artery of the city of Douara.
  • November 5 : Terrorists ambushed a Salamati military convoy, killing 11 soldiers near Dhiman, Salamat.
  • December 13 : A fuel tanker trapped with explosives exploded in Bab Al Hamma, near Dar Al Hamma. 34 civilians died.

1994

  • January 25 : The famous rai singer Chab Karim was found assassinated in a street of Dar Al Hamma. The AIG revendicated the murder on January 27.
  • March 2 : A terrorist stole a fighter jet from the Narqa Military Airport near Dar Al Hamma and attacked military facilities near Hani before the elimination of the plane.
  • March 10 : A primary school of the village of Harrach was raided by terrorists around noon. 11 students and 2 teachers were killed before the intervention of the army.
  • March 18 : Said Lamri Khattabi, a fighter of the AIG, detonated his explosive belt in front of a catholic church in Dar Al Hamma, 44 civilians and 12 tourists died.
  • April 1 : The Ankur Autodetermination Movement officially declares war on the Salamati government.
  • April 7 : Alim Al Jilali, famous revolutionary poet, was assassinated in Ouled Hajj Tawari by two militants.
  • April 12 : Studio of Houari Ben Samir terrorist attack ; Houari Ben Samir, famous rai singer, was murdered in his own studio.
  • April 28 : A terrorist detonated his explosive belt while hiding in a crowd during a military exercise in the Ansar Military Base, 25 kilometers north of Ramzuz. 79 were killed, including colonel Sait Salim Al Rihani.
  • May 23 : A terrorist attempted to explode himself in a catholic church of Dar Al Hamma during Pentecost Monday. He was killed on spot by a soldier.
  • June 11 : A group of terrorists took control of a train before being ousted by the military at the next train stop.
  • July 12 : Vrede Airlines Flight 1080 Hijacking Incident.
  • July 19 : 9 terrorist fighters ambushed an army patrol in Bir Khadija. 4 soldiers died and one was heavily wounded.
  • August 2 : A group of Zona Umidan tourists was attacked while visiting the Martyrs Park in Dar Al Hamma. 6 of the 11 tourists died.
  • September 25 : A group of foreign communist youths was attacked by AIG fighters on a motorcycle. 11 were killed.
  • October 15 : The bus of Dar Al Hamma SC, travelling to Ghafun to participate in a match, was attacked by AIG militants. No one died.
  • November 19 : A group of terrorists was ambushed by the Salamati military in mountains near Jabal Halil.
  • November 22 : The AIG responded by murdering the lieutenant-colonel Al Liasri while he was inspecting his troops.
  • December 4 : The journalist and television anchor Safia Baasira was murdered by a terrorist for not wearing the hijab.
  • December 10 : Independence Square terrorist attack ; A car bomb exploded on the Independence Square while Malik Khayri was inaugurating a statue. He died of his wounds on December 15.
  • December 28 : A Kakish government delegation was attacked by militants in Ghusat. 2 died of their wounds the following day.

1995

  • January 17 : Terrorists killed 72 civilians at a mock roadblock near Qasr Tahar.
  • February 9 : The general director of TBA (Company) Salamat was murdered by the AIM.
  • February 26 : Amina Ben Yunis, a secularist politician of the "Party for Democracy and Secularism", was savagely assassinated in her house by militants.
  • March 11 : Sanaa Ben Ziane, then a feminist activist, was threatened to be executed by the AIG after a controversial speech on the hijab.
  • April 2 : Shortly after the murder of Amina Ben Yunis, another politician of the PDS, Tahar Kahul, was slaughtered in his sleep.
  • April 13 : Four militants broke into a middle school of Ghusat, killing 22 students and 4 teachers.
  • June 3 : 13 citizens were killed by militants at another mock roadblock near Qasr Tahar.
  • June 8 : An islamist arsonist, Halil Al Jalali, burned down the siege of the Salamati Communist Party.
  • July 1 : The House of the Veterans of the Independence War was attacked by terrorists in pick-ups in Dar Al Hamma. This event aroused resentment against the militants.
  • July 11 : A high school student, Sonia El Ankuri, was killed while she was walking to school, for not wearing the hijab.
  • July 19 : Sanaa Ben Ziane first assassination attempt ; two pipe bombs were discovered in her mailbox, but didn't explode.
  • July 20 : Two soldiers were brutally attacked at an ATM in Ghafun. One of the soldiers, Karim Wahhab, died of his injuries on July 23.
  • July 28 : A museum in Douara saw numerous ancient polytheist idols being destroyed by militants.
  • August 9 : 12 foreign communist missionaries were killed while visiting the provisory siege of Salamati Communist Party.
  • August 17 : Abdelhamid Arooubi, a famous musician and singer, symbol of the Ankurid raï, was brutally murdered on his way home in Asal.
  • August 30 : Shaykh Layali, opposed to the murder of Muslims during the civil war, was murdered while walking to his mosque in Ramzuz.
  • September 9 : 26 civilians were killed in a massacre in the village of Ain Thalatha.
  • September 26 : The retired football player of the Salamat National Football Team Jamel Hazouni was murdered by islamists in a bar of Ankur.
  • September 27 : Famous Raï singer Sherif Boumadouni is killed while going back home from his studio in Boumezgane.
  • October 2 : A oil refinery station was trapped with explosives in northern Salamat, claiming 44 lives.
  • October 13 : A Christian cemetery of Dar Al Hamma was profanated by islamist militants.
  • October 22 : Sanaa Ben Ziane second assassination attempt : a car laden was detonated next to what was believed to be her feminist association's QG ; instead a nursery was gravely damaged and 7 children were killed.
  • November 13 : Abduction of Salamati diplomats working in the Embassy of Salamat in Gassasinia by the AIG.
  • November 22 : A communist protest in the streets of Hani degenerated as islamists fought with the communist protesters. 149 died during this event.
  • December 12 : Attack on the subway : islamist militants create an hostage crisis in the Dar Al Hamma metro, which will last until December 15.
  • December 29 : Hijacking of SalamAir Flight 1288.

1996

  • January 3 : Islamist Khattab Hamri kills the ministry of Agriculture, Mining and Fishing Malak Darhim in downtown Douara.
  • January 8 : Militants attempt to explode the Ministry of Interior but fail.
  • January 19 : A mock roadblock near Zalzab kills 23 civilians.
  • January 23 : A mock roadblock in Ghusat kills 17.
  • January 26 : 8 terrorists are eliminated by the Salamati army in the Khaliwi mountains.
  • January 30 : A militant tried to enter into a military airport in Bani Dasser. He was killed on the spot.
  • February 3 : Berkani Stadium terrorist attack : 4 militants tried to enter the Berkani Stadium, the biggest of Salamat, to activate their explosives, but failed.
  • February 6 : El Khidj prison mutiny ; Prisoners in the El Khidj prison condemned for terrorism revolt against the guards. The army is deployed and a total of 1,219 prisoners and guards were killed.
  • February 20 : A military pickup, passing by Bir Khadija, was attacked by islamists. 5 died.
  • March 1 : Islamists try to eliminate Shaykh Abu Siwam, which was giving his Friday sermon (khotba) in his mosque in Mansujah. He survived.
  • March 12 : Death of islamist leader Mohammed Al Mahdi Al Haqqum.
  • March 24 : Islamists attack violently a school bus passing by in Dar Kamel, killing the bus driver and 9 children.
  • March 30 : President Abdallah Khalifun Al Massajat qualifies the area regrouping the towns of Bir Ramna, Dar Kamel, Bir Khadija, Qasr Tahar, Dar Rouhad and Al Asfar as the "islamist belt", where military cannot pass by, fearing to be attacked by militants.
  • April 4 : Battle of Ankur ; Islamists and Ankur Independentists fight in Ankur, claiming 359 lives.
  • April 28 : Murder of Ankur Autodetermination Movement official Karim El Karamat by the AIM.
  • May 11 : Dar Al Fudhan massacre.
  • May 19 : Two bombs in Jadhab and Douar Ghali kill 77.
  • June 5 : The chief of the Ankur Autodetermination Movement, Khadim Nasser, is killed in a car crash, reportedly commandited by the Salamati secret services.
  • June 10 : The Ankur Autodetermination Movement names Amir Khaymi as its new chief.
  • June 26 : AIM terrorists, disguised as soldiers, enter in a police station in Douar Ghali and attack the personnel. 25 died in the attack.
  • July 22 : Sid Manimane massacre.
  • August 3 : Brahim Ghali, a colonel in the Salamati Navy, was brutally beheaded after being abducted by Ankur independentists.
  • August 12 : The Salamati government, responding to the death of Col.Ghali, trapped and exploded the headquarters of the Ankur Autodetermination Movement. The chief, Amir Khaymi, was severely wounded and handicapped, and 75 died.
  • August 30 : Amir Khaymi is temporarily replaced by Yahya Butru as the chief of the AAM.
  • September 3 : Dar Salam massacre.
  • September 5 : Diyamu massacre.
  • September 24 : Six Christian monks are found dead in a ravine near Ghusat.
  • October 11 : The Mosque of Zalzab is raided by the military during the Friday khotba (sermon), researching a collaborator of the AIG.
  • October 28 : Amir Khaymi regains leadership of the AAM.
  • November 13 : Dar Al Hamma Airport terrorist attack, one of the deadliest terrorist attacks of the Salamati Civil War.
  • November 24 : The Islamist Belt is raided by military ; 57 presumed islamists are arrested.
  • December 9 : The Informatic Institute of Salamat is raided by islamist militants.
  • December 12 : The Narqa Political Camp Museum is raided by both Ankurist militants and Kharrabists, killing 12 guards and policemen.
  • December 26 : A bomb placed in a corn field destroys a cooperative farm and kills 8 farmers.

1997

  • January 18 : The embassy of TBA is raided by the AIG in Dar Al Hamma. 6 died, including 4 embassy staff, one attacker and a civilian.
  • January 30 : Troops of the islamist group Majmu'at Al Shuhada Al Islam move their headquarters to the abandoned Dar Al Hamma International Airport.
  • February 21 : Murder of islamist Michal An Najm Al Wahhab, chief of Majmu'at Al Shuhada Al Islam.
  • February 27 : Deir Fadhlik massacre.
  • March 2 : Islamist militants raid Dar Al Hamma University III - Kamal Haddad the day of the start of the school year. An hostage crisis will take place and last for 4 days, until the raid of the university by special forces. 82 students were killed, and the 12 attackers were killed or sentenced to death.
  • March 29 : Salamati diplomat Anwar Al Harafat abducted in TBA by the AIM.
  • April 8 : Islamist chief Omar Abu Salim is killed by special forces.
  • April 11 : The islamist group Majmu'at Al Shuhada Al Islam is dissolved after the death of their second leader Omar Abu Salim.
  • April 23 : Islamist radio "Voice of Sharia" program is interrupted after the bombing of one of their transmitters located north of Mansujah.
  • April 26 : Islamists respond to the April 23 event by sending two suicide bombers , Lamari Bousaadi and Jilal Hassani, in front of the Ministry of Interior and detonate their explosive belts. 31 were killed by the explosion and 104 were injured.
  • May 4 : Ahmad Muhammad Sayyid Umdur, a famous Salamati chaabi singer, was killed by an islamist militant.
  • May 17 : Terrorist attack against The Salamati Evening.
  • May 23 : A bomb in a primary school of Tatareg detonated at 2:40 am. According to an islamist defector, the bomb was supposed to explode in the afternoon of May 22, but due to the low quality of the bomb, the detonator was resetted automatically.
  • May 28 : Si Qadir massacre.
  • May 31 : Start of negociations for a ceasefire between the Ankur Autodetermination Movement and the Government.
  • June 1 : A car bomb detonated in front of a Riamese community in Qasr Othman, near Dar Al Hamma. 10 Riamese citizens and 8 Salamatis were killed.
  • June 13 : Another car bomb detonated in front of a café of Qasr Othman , killing 25 civilians in the explosion.
  • June 16 : The Ankur Autodetermination Movement declares a ceasefire with the Salamati government.
  • July 3 : Peace negociations between the Ankur Autodetermination Movement and the Salamati government begin.
  • July 11 : Peace treaty signed between the Ankur Autodetermination Movement and the government of Salamat. The terms include :

- The dismantling of the Ankur mercenaries ;
- The recognition of the Ankur dialect of Arabic as a national and cultural heritage ;
- Cooperation between the Ankurids and the continental Salamatis by the means of scholar exchanges ;
- Dismantling of the Free Ankur Radio.

  • August 8 : A peace rally in Asal is violently attacked by Islamist militants. 64 protesters died.
  • August 9 : Islamist chief Samir Al Wahhab dies in a car crash in Ramzuz.
  • August 13 : Azazma massacre.
  • August 22 : A Jewish cemetery in east Dar Al Hamma is profanated by militants.
  • September 3 : During the military parade celebrating the 27th anniversary of Salamat, a bomb exploded, killing 45 persons (majoritarily civilians) and damaging an AFV of the Salamati Armed Forces.
  • September 11 : The premises of the radio "Voice of Sharia" were burned overnight.
  • September 26 : The Red Star Compound, a communist rebel headquarter, was burned down by the government due to the threat they were posing.
  • October 1 : Communist riots in Dar Al Hamma. 55 000 protesters were in the streets denouncing the Red Star Compound burning. The military was reportedly called to help paramilitary against the communist protesters. The streets of Dar Al Hamma turned into chaos, with tear gas clouds on the biggest arteries of the city, burning cars, molotov cocktails and trash bins on fire. Schools and public transit were closed until October 5.
  • October 5 : End of the communist riots.
  • October 16 : Narqa massacre.
  • October 29 : A suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt on the Independence Square of Dar Al Hamma, killing 238.
  • November 10 : A car bomb explode near a municipal pool in Ghafun. 43 died.
  • November 16 : Three bombs in the Dar Al Hamma port explode, damaging two ships, and killing 78.
  • November 21 : An offshore oil extraction platform is seized by islamist forces. The Salamati military took the platform the next day during operation Spear.
  • December 3 : A trapped shoe, containing explosives, was found in Dar Al Hamma's sewers. The bomb was desactivated after analysis.
  • December 16 : Douar Arab massacre (or failed massacre of Douar Arab).

1998

  • January 1 : A military pickup transporting troops, was attacked by militants in Dar Kamel. 3 soldiers and an adjudant died.
  • January 7 : A pharmaceutical factory of the suburbs of Hani, producing chloroquine, was raided by islamist militants in the afternoon of January 7. The islamists reportedly stole 4 metric tons of chloroquine to resell them to both the general population and other countries. However, the reserves were found in a warehouse near Bani Muhammad, in the suburbs of Dar Al Hamma.
  • January 13 : A suicide bomber explodes in front of the Museum of Arab Arts, killing 82.
  • February 19 : Firas Hashim Muhammad, judge of the El Ayyubi Court, is murdered by islamist militants after sentencing Amin Brahim to 40 years in prison.
  • February 27 : The headquarters of the Salamati Communist Party are set on fire by an islamist arsonist.
  • March 2 : Start of armed fights between islamists and communists mercenaries in Douara and Hayyum.
  • March 4 : End of armed fights in Hayyum. 484 died during the battle.
  • March 7 : End of armed fights in Douara. 510 died during the battle.
  • March 11 : El Hoqm massacre.
  • March 31 : Bombs discovered in and around the Qasr Majid General Hospital. The building is evacuated.
  • April 14 : A car bomb detonates in traffic on the Dar Al Hamma - Jadhab highway, near El Jabayl. An estimated 23 persons died.
  • April 17 : A water filtration plant of Al Muhni was damaged by gunfire after an altercation between local police and islamists.
  • May 30 : Hikers from TBA were found beheaded while climbing mount Hamza. The attack was revendicated by Jama'at Alinqadh Al Islami fi Salamat.
  • June 3 : Bir Ramna massacre.
  • June 16 : Salamati Presidential House terrorist attack : attempt to explode the Presidential House.
  • June 25 : An ammunition depot of the army was sacked by militants.
  • July 22 : A soldier of the Salamati Armed Forces, Bilal Maaroufi, defected from the army to join the AIG's ranks. He took a MiG-23 with him and landed it at an airstrip that was created by the AIG.
  • August 13 : A nightclub of Sidi Ghalmat was set on fire by the AIG (although some senior secret services officers said that the DIS was behind).
  • August 24 : Douar Sidali massacre.
  • September 17 : Start of the "Great appeasement" between the Salamati government and the AIG.
  • September 30 : Al Fathi terrorist attack.
  • October 19 : Other beheaded hikers were found on mount Hamza.
  • October 26 : Authorities block access to hiking paths to tourists.
  • November 17 : Abdallah Khalifun Al Massajat leaves office. Janub Mohamed Al Jumiyin takes power.
  • November 20 : Al Jumiyin announces the start of the "Civil Concord".
  • December 3 : AIG leader Malik Al Warae Al Salaf announces that fighting against the government is suspended temporarily. The AIM also announces this.
  • December 4 : Start of peace negociations between the AIG/AIM and the Salamati government.
  • December 18 : The two other islamist groups, Jama'at Lilda'wat 'Ala Tariq Al Salaf Wal Islam and Jama'at Alinqadh Al Islami fi Salamat, start peace negociations with the government.
  • December 30 : The AIM officially stops operating in Salamat.

1999

  • January 8 : The AIG officially ceases fighting.
  • January 25 : Jama'at Alinqadh Al Islami fi Salamat officially ceases fighting.
  • January 29 : The last terrorist group, Jama'at Lilda'wat 'Ala Tariq Al Salaf Wal Islam, ceases fighting.
  • June 24 : Jama'at Lilda'wat 'Ala Tariq Al Salaf Wal Islam is dissolved.
  • September 13 : Both the AIM and the AIG are dissolved.

2002

  • April 5 : Jama'at Alinqadh Al Islami fi Salamat is dissolved.
