The '''2024 Fallish general election''' was the 20th quadrennial {{wp|general election}} in [[Falland]] since the establishment of the {{wp|federation}} in 1944. It was held from 5-11 May 2024 and determined the composition of the [[Chamber of Deputies (Falland)|Chamber of Deputies]], and ran parallel with the [[2024 Fallish prime ministerial election]]. 61,431,548 people were elegible for voting, with 56,050,144 of them participating in the election. The [[Liberal Bloc (Falland)|Liberal Bloc]] won another victory led by the [[Progressive Party (Falland)|Progressive Party]], continuing the Liberal Bloc's hold on power since 2004.

The Progressive Party won 235 seats, the Liberal won 117, the Green won 104, the Democratic won 52, the Socialist won 115, the New Falland won 124, the Republican won 29. the Red-Green won 17, the NWPF won 9, the Victory won 6, and the Social Democratic won 2.

It was the 12th general election to be held under the reign of [[Theresa of Falland|Theresa]].

==Background==

===Procedure===
According to the [[Constitution of Falland|Fallish Constitution]], Each electoral division of Falland elects one member to the Chamber of Deputies using the {{Wp|first-past-the-post}} voting system. This will run parallel to the [[2024 Fallish prime ministerial election]] which would occur on 11 May. Both {{Wp|Majority government|majority}} and {{Wp|minority government}} are possible election outcomes.

In order to vote in the general election, one has to be on the [[Elections in Falland|Electoral Register]], be over the age of 18 during the polling week, resident at an address in Falland, or a Fallish citizen living abroad who has been registered to vote in Falland at any time. Individuals barred from voting include convicted people detained in prison or a mental hospital, unlawfully at large if the person would otherwise have been detained, a person found guilty of certain corrupt or illegal practices, or disqualified from voting (advisors sitting in the [[Chamber of Advisors (Falland)|Chamber of Advisors]]).

Individuals must be registered to vote by midnight twelve days before the beginning of the election. Any person who has two homes could also be able to register to vote at both addresses as long as they are not in the same electoral area, but can only vote in one electoral division during the general election.

The election is to be contested under under the same boundaries for 810 electoral divisions that have been used since the [[2004 Fallish general election|2004 general election]].
