==History==
''Tongboman Chanjin'' was composed in NMR 2275 as a {{wp|protest song}} against the [[Namo-Chorean War|Chorean invasion of Namor]]. The Namorese general responsible for defending [[Mojing]], Du Hanven, had agreed to surrender the city and his troops to Chorean forces in turn for a leadership position in a Chorean-installed government. The "Treason of Mojing," as the incident became known, sparked an outcry in Namor, as many believed Mojing would have held off the Choreans had it not been for Du.

23 year-old Jing Min, was a musical student studying in Mojing at the time. He was also an underground member of the [[Liberationist Party of Namor]]. Upon receiving news of the surrender, he and several other students formed an armed brigade to resist the Choreans and Du's army. Accompanying him was a fellow activist, 24 year-old [[Thanh Dương Dinh]], who did not attend university but had fled to Mojing in protest of Chorea's invasion of his homeland in [[Tuhao]]. According to Jing, Thanh was seriously wounded in battle and was rushed to a hospital. Before dying from his wounds, Thanh, who knew of Jing's passion for music, gave Jing a copy of a poem that he had written. Thanh asked Jing to compose a tune for the poem so that surviving members of the brigade can sing it as they continue fighting. Jing did as Thanh asked, and ''Tongboman Chanjin'' was composed. It soon became known as the anthem of the Namorese resistance.
