Guaiba is a province in the eastern region of Trenado. It is the most populous province and fifth-largest by area, also encompassing the federal capital Osorio and the most populous city of the country, Porto Alegre. The state has the third best HDI in the country, the highest GDP and the lowest unemployment rate, as of 2022. The province has 27.7% of the Trenadian population and is responsible for 51.5% of the national GDP.
