Halstel is the largest city of Wareselt. It has a population of 1.22 million, making it one of the largest cities in northeast Nortua. It is the largest seaport in Wareselt and on the Strait of Mitter, the second-largest being Mitterstein in Saint Hilley. It is one of Wareselt's oldest continuously inhabited cities, with roughly 2,500 years of recorded history. It is located on a flat plain along the coast. The transport connections, concentration of economic institutions and industrial tradition underlie Halstel' leading economic position in Wareselt.
