Hamid Naser Mahdavi (/hæˈmiːd næˈseɾ mæhdɒːˈviː/; born 12 March 1994) is a Qalehi-Vidorian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Navish Superliga club Brestrand SK and the Vidoria national football team. He is regarded as one of the best players from Rennekka. He is famous for his amazing performance on the national level, as well as his pace and finishing skills.
Hamid Mahdavi was born in Qal'eh to a Vidorian father and Qalehi mother, but moved to Vidoria in 2007 and attained citizenship in 2010, currently holding dual citizenship. He represents Vidoria on the national level on the basis of his father, unlike his brother, Arsalan Mahdavi, who represents Qal'eh. He joined the Vidorian club Primadavia in 2010, and was introduced to the public eye as the club had greatly succeeded after his entry, and moved to Victoría CF in 2013, for what was then the record transfer in the club's history, Đ12 million. During Mahdavi's time in Victoría CF, he won a Grand Serie title, and won the AFV Grand Cup twice.
After his performance in Vidoria, many clubs, namely Asuran, showed interest in Mahdavi. In 2015, Mahdavi moved to Navish club Brestrand SK for Đ32 million. He was a key part of the starting eleven during his first two seasons at the Navish club. However, between 2017 and 2018, Mahdavi was moved to the bench when Dimitrios was moved to Brestrand. This was highly criticised, and Dimitrios departed in late 2018, allowing Mahdavi to play as part of the starting eleven again. He currently wears the number 9 shirt for Brestrand. He currently holds TBD caps and TBD goals total.
Mahdavi entered the Vidoria national team in 2013, in a friendly game against Dosceriche, which resulted in a 2-0 win. This game had proved to be key to Mahdavi's future success in the national team, as after that game he was chosen as a member of the starting eleven. In total, he as 56 caps and 31 goals for the Vidorian national team.
Early Life
Hamid Mahdavi was born on 12 March 1994 in Astari, Qal'eh, to a Vidorian father and Qalehi mother. He was one of three children, the other two being Arsalan Mahdavi, a professional footballer that plays for Qalehi team Al-Nadja and represents Qal'eh on the national level, and Aida Mahdavi, a musician. His parents divorced, and Mahdavi emigrated to Vidoria together with his father, while his brother and sister stayed with their mother in Qal'eh.
Club Career
Arzet Youth
Hamid Mahdavi was scouted on the streets by Arzet BW from a young age, a common tradition in Qalehi football scouting. He was given a contract in 2001 when he was inducted into their youth program. One of the most successful players coming from the Arzet youth program, he did not meet any prominent Qalehi footballers at the time. He met a few players that are now successful professional footballers, though, namely Ali Zarqan, who he met while visiting the Dahrzor United youth program, who plays in Bersk SK and the Qal'eh national football team.
At the age of 13, Mahdavi emigrated to Vidoria, meaning he had to leave the Arzet youth program.
Primadavia
Youth
After his move to Vidoria, Mahdavi was scouted by many football teams that were interested in him entering their youth programs. Primadavia, who are renowned for having one of the most successful youth programs in Vidoria, eventually offered Mahdavi a contract in the same year.
