The Commonwealth Realm Navy (commonly shortened to Commonwealth Navy) is the naval warfare force of Yohannes. Its purpose and duty are as follows: (i) to administer, train and equip naval formations; (ii) to carry out rapid and sustained combat and escort operations at sea; and (iii) to organise joint carrier-capable aircraft and land-based naval aviation missions.

The Navy acts as a stable and massive deterrent. It also protects Yohannes' trade and capital flows with the country's commercial partners. It aims to achieve the latter by working with friendly navies to reconnoitre strategic sea areas and patrol hand-picked sea lines of communication considered vital to sustain supply chains.

"Realm Protection Ship," abbreviated "RPS," is the ship prefix used for ships of the Commonwealth Navy. Until the early 20th century, the prefix was always quoted in full as "Realm of Yohannes' Protection Ship."
