The '''2019 T-1 British Open Championship''' will be the 55th {{wp|T-1 British Open Championship}}, held July 11-14 at {{wp|Royal Porthcawl Golf Club}} in {{wp|Porthcawl, Wales, UK}}. It is the first time the course has hosted the championship. It will be the third {{wp|major}} of the T-1 Tour season.
The '''2020 T-1 Players Championship''' will be the 3rd {{wp|T-1 Players Championship}}, to be held April 2-5, at {{wp|Baltusrol Golf Club}} in {{wp|Kholer, Wisconsin}}, the first edition at the Lower Course. It will be the first event of the {{wp|2020 T-1 Golf Tour}}, and the first {{wp|major}} of the season.

The first two years of the championship gained much attention from spectators and golf writers, who credit the event as the most prestigious on the T-1 Golf Tour, due to its large purse and consistently difficult venue choices. As of 2019, the T-1 Players Tournament has been named the {{wp|flagship}} event by the {{wp|T-1 Golf Federation}}, overtaking the {{wp|U.S. T-1 Open}}, which held the status since 1985.

Defending champion {{wp|Benvolio Pagòn}} is expected to make his 5th T-1 Tour major start. In those starts, he has accumulated one win and four top-25s. {{wp|2018 T-1 Players Championship|2018 champion}} {{wp|David Duval}} will also be in the field.

Lengths of the course for previous major championships:
The course, naturally a par 71 for championship play, will be shortened to a par 70, which is T-1GF major championship tradition. The par-5 6th hole will be shortened to a par-4, playing at 515 yards, the longest par-4 on the golf course for the tournament.

On July 9, 2019, due to abnormal dry spots on the course, the T-1 Golf Federation announced the immense shortening of the par-5 18th, from 504 yards to 437 yards. Along with that change, the Federation also shortened the par-5 13th, from 531 yards to 486 yards. With the changes, the course will play at a total of 6,789 yards, the shortest since 1985. Fair weather conditions are also expected, and the course is expected to yield abnormally low scores.

The 55th edition of the T-1 British Open got underway in the early morning hours of July 11, 2019, with the first tee shots being hit at 6:50 local time (1:50 EST). The course was expected to play easier than previous years due to immense shortening of length to certain holes, and the lacking of extreme weather conditions. {{wp|John Walrith}} took advantage of the conditions early on, making the turn at -3, and making birdies on the shortened par-5s 13 and 18 to card a 5-under 65 to shoot the early round by nearly two strokes. As the day progressed, wind picked up slightly with gusts around 15-17mph from the south east. T-1 major champion {{wp|Jack Leeland}}, who held the 54-hole lead at last months’ {{wp|U.S. T-1 Open}} found himself tied with Walrith at the end of the round at 5-under par. Despite the strong scores posted at -5, {{wp|Webb Bishop}}, who's never made the cut in a T-1 major championship, went on a late birdie spree to correct his +1 35 on the front nine. He went -7 on the back nine to card a 6-under 64, good enough for the overnight lead. In total, 70 players broke par in the opening round, the most in history. Notables such as {{wp|Trey Cranfield}} (-2), {{wp|Noram Lower}} (-3), the favorite {{wp|Simon Coldnorg}} (-3), and {{wp|Jay Henry}} were all within striking distance. {{wp|Jamie Otto}}, 4-time T-1 major champion, finished the day at +3, in a tie for 110th place. The scoring average was 70.846, just slightly over par for the field.

The 2020 T-1 Players Championship will be the 3rd T-1 Players Championship, to be held April 2-5, at Baltusrol Golf Club in Kholer, Wisconsin, the first edition at the Lower Course. It will be the first event of the 2020 T-1 Golf Tour, and the first major of the season.

The first two years of the championship gained much attention from spectators and golf writers, who credit the event as the most prestigious on the T-1 Golf Tour, due to its large purse and consistently difficult venue choices. As of 2019, the T-1 Players Tournament has been named the flagship event by the T-1 Golf Federation, overtaking the U.S. T-1 Open, which held the status since 1985.

Defending champion Benvolio Pagòn is expected to make his 5th T-1 Tour major start. In those starts, he has accumulated one win and four top-25s. 2018 champion David Duval will also be in the field.
