Sultan: absolute monarch of Sharifistan
Prince-Regent: Another royal who rules temporarily if the heir to the throne is too young, missing or too ill (either physically or mentally)
Shahzade: son of a Sultan
Mirza: Descendant of a Sultan who is not their son and/or son of an Emir.
Military Fatah Sharif: translates as "young nobleman", lowest commissioned officer rank, Most Sharifistani nobles begin their military career at this rank as do most University graduates who join the Army.
Risaldar: OF-2 in the Air Cavalry or tank regiments of the Royal Sharifistani Army with a cavalry tradition.
