This is a list of all reigning monarchs in the history of Faldarun. It includes titles King of Faldarun, Emperor of Faldarun and Emperor of All-Valeya. The list starts with King of Faldarun Björn I, crowned in 1517, and ends with the Emperor of All-Valeya Vilhjálmur II, who was assassinated in 1917. There have been 24 of monarchs of Faldarun before the monarchy was abolished during the revolution. For most of its existence, it for the most part used a system of agnatic-cognatic primogeniture for the law of succession, however on numerous occasion the rightful heir was denied their birthright by an ambitious uncle or brother who had the support of other Jarls. This practice was in a perpetual decline in the time of the Empire, however, and by the late 1800s the succession almost always went to the firstborn son of the Emperor.
