Form of Government
Bananenboot’s form of government is a democracy. Every 2 years, the citizens of Bananenboot elect a president and a Vice President. Political parties don’t exist in Bananenboot, for that the citizens elect the person, not the party. Anyone over the age of 20 and has been a citizen for 1 year, has to take an I.Q. test to vote. If their I.Q. is higher than 115, than they can vote. Anyone who has been a citizen of Bananenboot for the past 5 years, and is over the age of 24, can run for President.
Location and Geography
Bananenboot is connected to Florida on the east side. It is very hot, humid, lots of rain. It rarely ever gets cold. There are lots of rainforests hence the large amounts of rain that comes.
Etymology
The citizens of Bananenboot are called Bootchens, which means “little boats” in German. The reason being, is that people are little in this country. So that’s how “little“ plays out. Boats, is quite obvious. Bananenboot means banana boat so, you know, little boats.
Military
Bananeboot and Otanga are military rivals. The cause is, Otanga stoke Bananenboot’s soup. They were shipping soup to Canada on a boat, and Otanga’s military stole their soup. Bananenboot has a significantly stronger military.
They have invested heavily in anti aircraft machinery, artillery so that they can shoot the enemy from very far away, tanks, and infantry. Their navy is strong enough to defend their territorial waters. They have bunkers in case they get nuked. Their goal is not to destroy the enemy, just to defend their country.
There is a draft for people from ages 18-24.
Trade Partners
One of my trade partners is ένας Νικόλαος. Bananenboot trades their bananas and gold for their uranium and fishing rods. They trade other things of course, but those things are the main.
Alliances Bananeboot has a strong alliance with Greenstones. If the war with Otanga gets gory, then Bananeboot will call for Greenstones’ army to come and help. They give each other resources and other goods.
Citizenship
To become a citizen in Bananenboot, you first must have been living in Bananenboot for the past 5 years. Then, you can apply to become a citizen. After you apply, the government will see your application and decide whether or not you’re eligible. If you are, then you must take a test. Once you pass the test, you’re then officially a Bootchen!
