The company consisted entirely of former assets and employees of the defunct Foster Assembly company which went out of business in 1987. Despite being a new company, they received steady contracts due to the experience of their engineers who formerly worked at Foster Assembly. Rapid growth throughout the 90's and 00's led to a period of stagnancy by 2011 which the company has yet to escape.
