Ahmad Pathan was a Sharifistani soldier and later taxi driver who gained fame for rescuing a 12 year old girl from sex traffickers and was awarded the Civilian Gallantry Medal.

He served in Afghanistan as well as fighting in Syria against a variety of enemies (ISIS, the Assad Regime and Kurdish separatists). During his service in Afghanistan he developed Maoist views. He left in 2019 at the rank of Corporal.

2021 rescue

From 2019 to 2021, Ahmad Pathan was working nightshifts as a taxi driver. In 2021, he rescued a girl who rode in his taxi after finding out she was born trafficked. In doing so he raked his own life and killed most of her traffickers. He was awarded the Civilian Gallantry Medal for his actions.
