Ahmad Pathan was a Sharifistani soldier and later taxi driver who gained fame for rescuing a 12 year old girl from sex traffickers and was awarded the Civilian Gallantry Medal.

Early life

Ahmed Pathan was born on August the 4th 1994, his father (also called Ahmed Pathan) was a 21 year old soldier in the Yugoslav Wars (Sharifistan was fighting on the Bosnian Muslim side) whilst his mother (aged 17) did not have a paid job focusing on high school and domestic tasks. He attended a Comprehensive School in the City of Industry before applying to join the Army at the age of 17.


Military service

He enlisted in the Royal Pashtunistan City Infantry at the age of 17 in 2011. He served in Afghanistan as well as fighting in Syria against a variety of enemies (ISIS, the Assad Regime and Kurdish separatists). During his service in Afghanistan he developed Maoist views. He left in 2019 at the rank of Corporal.

2021 rescue

From 2019 to 2021, Ahmad Pathan was working nightshifts as a taxi driver. In 2021, he rescued a girl who rode in his taxi after finding out she was born trafficked. In doing so he raked his own life and killed most of her traffickers. He was awarded the Civilian Gallantry Medal for his actions.

Personal life

A married an 18 year old girl named Aisha Yilmaz. In an interview he stated that he was “a Muslim, a Sharifistani patriot and a Maoist, seeing no contradiction between any of them.”


Death

Ahmad Pathan and his wife both died in a naval bombardment in May 2021.

Veneration as a saint

He is venerated as a saint by Sharifistani Sufis, especially the Maoists amongst them. his patronage includes Taxi drivers, paratroopers, the Royal Pashtunistan City Infantry, social workers, child protection police, fathers of girls, kidnapping (protection against), Madinat Al-Islam, poor people, the oppressed and rape victims.
