Early life

Born in 1954, Suleiman Khan was the son of Lieutenant-Colonel Suleiman Khan (the previous Emir) and Emirah Aisha Khan (one of his wives). He was educated in a private school in Switzerland until the assassination of his father when he was only seventeen (after which he went to school in Sharifistan so he could also perform his official duties as the Emir).

After his degree, he applied to the Royal Air Cavalry in 1975, he was accepted and took a one year Master of Military Science degree.
