Emir Suleiman Khan II was the Emir of Khan County and father of Prince Khalid Suleiman Khan, the Prince-Regent of Sharifistan. He died of COVID-19 in 2020.

Early life

Born in 1954, Suleiman Khan was the son of Lieutenant-Colonel Suleiman Khan (the previous Emir) and Emirah Aisha Khan (one of his wives). He was educated in a private school in Switzerland until the assassination of his father when he was only seventeen (after which he went to school in Sharifistan so he could also perform his official duties as the Emir).

Education After leaving the Sharifistani School of Fencing, Emir Suleiman Khan studied Islamic Studies at Madinat Al-Islam University graduating with a 2:1 degree in 1975. After his degree, he applied to the Royal Air Cavalry in 1975, he was accepted and took a one year Master of Military Science degree.

military career

Aged 21, whilst still an Emir, Suleiman Khan joined the Royal Air Cavalry in 1975, training a fighter pilot. He was involved in the Indo-Pakistani War and left at the rank of Squadron Leader in 1983.
