Justin Vindebinos

Justin Vindebinos (Born (1962-03-14) 14 March 1962 (age 62)) is the firstborn son and heir to Lucas and the Duchy of Samos. He lived much of his younger life at Tikkis Lamnos until he joined the Federation Navy as a Naval Aviator, serving aboard the F.N.S Philippos as a pilot of a Cassini search and rescue helicopter. He gained the opportunity to apply to Space Technologies Aeronautical Research (STAR), the national space agency, in 2002 and after completing his training went on to pilot two expeditions to Unity Station in 2007 and 2010. In 2012 he failed a medical examination prior to the launch of the Gateway Three mission, resulting in him being grounded. This spurred his decision to retire from STAR on 19 August 2013

A year after departing from the Space Agency Justin was successful in being elected to the national senate as Samos' second seat on 1 September 2014. In his seat he campaigned actively for the refurbishment of the STAR test center on Samos and on 18 January 2021, following months of talk with the Sovereign Prince he became the first person to sit at the Praetorship for the Space Program.

He is the father of Nikos, Robert, and Sabina. His firstborn, Nikos, died aged 5 in the 1993 Orestes Terror Attack that also maimed Justins father.

Michael Vindebinos

Michael Vindebinos

Michael Vindebinos (1886 - 1947) was the father of the current Duke Lucas and was the Field Marshal of the Belfrasian Army during the Second Belfro-Elatian War and the Social War, the latter of which resulted in his death by enemy action in 1947. His service in the Army saw him fight in four wars, with Michael personally taking part in combat in three of them. His rapid ascension through the ranks of the Army have been attributed to his strategic brilliance and charismatic command over his comrades. His portrait adorns the walls of the Sovereign Princes office and he is often referred to historically as one of the finest military commanders in modern history.

Michael had joined the Army in 1904, shortly after reaching the age of 18 and went through the then-named Thessalonan Imperial war College and spent his early officer years leading a platoon of infantry. Shortly after being promoted to captain the Belfro-Mutulese War of 1911 broke out, with Michael serving on the front line in the Battle of Eunos. Following the conquest of Eunos, he went on to serve in the battle of the Kalinagos and eventually took part in the ill-fated landings at Ekab. His battlefield promotion to colonel saw him command a legion in the fierce fighting in Xuman until the Army was withdrawn.

The outbreak of the Belfro-Mutulese War of 1928 saw him once again taking part in fighting in Kalinagos and Eunos, with Mutulese landings at Eunos being repelled early on. A planned invasion of Xuman was called off in the early planning stages and it marked the first time Michael took part in strategic planning.

His part in the second Belfro-Mutulese war saw him enter the general staff, with his popularity making his selection as the Field Marshal at the time of the Second Belfro-Elatian War a natural decision.
