General Sir. David Auchinleck KG CLE (14 April 1787 - 19 July 1875) was a Lucian military officer who served as the 5th Governor of New South Niflheim and the 3rd longest tenured from 1826 to 1838.
David is also known for his service during the Sandoric Wars on the part of the Sikh and Aurucolian War, where his early years of commanding armies was tested. He distinguished himself against a numerically larger Aurucolian and Sikh Army at the Battle of Otasang Pass, which cemented his legacy as one of the best commanders in the war.
After the war, Auchinleck would be assigned as the Governor of New South Niflheim. He returned to Lucis and married Mary Fredericks. In 1860, he returned to New South Niflheim and was received well by the government, who gave him and his family a land and house to settle in Sydney. Here, he would spend the rest of his life into retirement until his death in 1875.
David is the grandfather of Klankain Auchinleck and the 3rd great-grandfather of Klankain Auchinleck IV and Claude John Auchinleck.
