She is the youngest daughter and child of former president Armando Kanbayashi and former First Lady Bárbara Chihoko Shimada. Satsuki is a current member of the Progreso Popular, a right-wing political party created by her older brother Chojiro Kanbayashi, and also holds a seat in the Sorata Constituency in Congress. She also lectures in archaeological studies and agronomics at the University of San Isaías de Tochuco, Sorata.
After Chojiro resigned from Congress due to the Chojirovideos scandal, Satsuki took over as Chairperson of the Party after she was found to be non-complicit.
