In 2156, Liina Sokk is a mechanic onboard the {{wpl|Starship}} ''Délivrance'' which is passing through the DS-11A system. Liina's boss tells her that her regular shift will be in another part of the ship. Liina begins her work shift, shortly after an unknown object strikes the ''Délivrance'' causing the ship to begin breaking apart. Liina, her colleague Kaia and a medical officer Jeskje all make it to an escape pod although Liina is forced to close the door by Jeskje on several other crew members as the ''Délivrance'' breaks apart and crashes into the unexplored planet of DS-11A5. The pod along with Liina, Kaia and Jeskje launches from the ship as it breaks apart killing anyone still onboard.
Yosi Hoelder is a High-School senior in Glauchau who describes herself as a background extra in stories about other people. Her friend group includes Garrit Kraus, Velten Wehner, Kerstin Schulte and Mathis Becker.

The escape pod lands near a beach on DS-11A5's equator and Kaia watches as debris from the ''Délivrance'' brurns up in DS-11A5's atmosphere. Liina attempts to establish contact with other escape pods although this is unsuccessful. After their landing, Jeskje organises the two others and they agree to explore their surrounding area to search for food and materials. Whilst searching for food Liina finds a crashed escape pod in a nearby forest, upon entering it becomes clear that the crew onboard the pod had been killed whilst entering the atmosphere as the pod had suffered damage whilst escaping the ''Délivrance''.
Shortly after the school year begins, Yosi is text messaged by a character only known as 'A'. Yosi initially disregards his messages and believes it to be a joke when a list of people including herself, Mathis and 8 others is posted to a website. At school Yosi becomes concerned when people begin looking at her for no obvious reason. Later that day, a student streaks through the school with their face covered to hide their identity. An assembly is called about the incident. After the assembly, another student on the list, Konrad starts a food fight in the cafeteria.

Liina informs the others of her discovery, Kaia wants to bury the bodies whilst Jeskje is in favour of using the corpses for scientific experiments. After a heated argument between the group Jeskje backs down although still remains as the group leader. That night Liina discovers a security recording from the ''Délivrance'' which shows an unnatural object coming from DS-11A5 and impacting the ship proving that something had shot down the ship.
A week later Yosi is added to a group chat with all the people on the list and A whose number is anonymous. A tells them that they know damaging information about them and that they will reveal it if they don't do what he says. A claims the two incidents that week were trial runs. Yosi and others on the list begin trying to figure out who is A by creating a list of people. After a student on the list says A is lying, A reveals the identity of the streaker and their private information alongside Konrad's.

The following day, the group get a signal from an unidentified source south of their location. Whilst originally hesitant about travelling to the source Jeskje manipulates Liina and Kaia to follow her lead. The three set off on a buggy and reach the source of the signal which is a large weapon like structure on the planet's coast, there Kaia is attacked by a flying creature which severely injures her. Jeskje stays behind to treat her whilst Liina enters the alien facility alone.
During class, Yosi receives a message from A telling her to steal another student's bag and throw it in the bins behind the school. Yosi is apprehensive about the plan but goes ahead with it after asking another person on the list, Grete. Yosi does what A said but tries finding out who A is by waiting to see if they appear. She is found by a teacher and told to go inside. Later that day it's revealed that Grete failed to do a task by A and it's revealed Grete had an abortion when she was younger.

Whilst inside Liina comes across numerous Alien corpses throughout the halls of the abandoned facility before eventually reaching what appears to be a control room on the upper levels of the facility, whilst there Liina discovers that this was the launch site of the object which brought down the ''Délivrance''. The launch system of the weapon appears to fit with human made {{wpl|Android (robot)|Android}} designs. Liina is able to make a call for help which is responded by another Starship sent to investigate the vanishing of the ''Délivrance''. Before she can finish her SOS call a surviving alien creature attacks her and knocks her unconscious.
All the people on the list are then interviewed by the faculty individually including Yosi who admits to stealing the bag but when they go to find it the bag has been taken.

After several days of being unconscious Liina awakes inside what appears to be an alien lair in the facility, there she discovers Kaia's corpse but no trace of Jeskje, after trying to flee she is brought back by the surviving alien. The surviving alien attaches Kaia's corpse to a grey fungus on the wall and leaves Liina. Liina attempts to cut Kaia down although she discovers the Fungus has attached itself to Kaia and is now rapidly mutating inside her body. Upon discovering this Liina flees the facility whilst avoiding the alien. After escaping she discovers that the ship she contacted had departed DS-11A5 with Jeskje who had killed Kaia after realising the ship was landing.
The list of suspects is narrowed down to 5 people but when A discovers about the list they reveal the information about 4 people including what they did. Yosi, Mathis, Ortwin Roth and Zenzi Schumacher are the only 4 left on the list. During class in Winter, a fire breaks out in the school's bathroom and the school has to be evacuated. Velten tells Yosi that it was Ortwin and Zenzi who started the fire. A teacher who was pregnant at the time miscarries as a result of the fire. Garrit, Velten and Yosi then anonymously blame Ortwin and Zenzi for starting the fire and post the list of suspects of who A could be. A then leaks private information about Garrit whilst denying they were any of the suspects. Ortwin and Zenzi are both arrested, expelled and have their information leaked.

Distraught and hopeless, Liina returns to the escape pod and finds that the supplies had been taken by the ship's crew. That night a massive hurricane arrives which destroys much of the surrounding area and washes the Pod and Liina out to sea. Liina hallucinates whilst on the pod that an alien had boarded the pod and tried contacting her. The pod washes up on a beach near the facility after the hurricane. She sneaks back into the facility and contacts the ship once again.
Yosi and Mathis are placed under constant surveillance by the school and their parents are informed. Yosi then is told to reveal to the entire school that Mathis is gay. Yosi goes through with it before her own information is leaked. Mathis becomes the target of bullying. A then threatens to reveal Yosi's information if she doesn't go to the school's cafeteria. Whilst she is there Mathis takes his own life and accuses Yosi of being A. Yosi demands that A reveal their true identity and A is revealed to be Velten who had been stalking Yosi for months. Velten justifies his actions by accusing Yosi of telling people that Velten has {{wpl|schizophrenia}}. He tells Yosi that everyone on the list had bullied or publicised others secrets. Yosi leaves having recorded the whole conversation.

The ship's captain tells Liina that Jeskje had told them that she had went insane and killed Kaia and other survivors. Liina tries reasoning with the captain who accuses her of being involved in the crash of the ''Délivrance''. The captain ends the communication but shortly after the ship's Navigation officer establishes contact with her. The Navigation officer informs her that the ship was unable to return to DS-11A5 to rescue her due to a company decision.
Velten is arrested after an edited version of the conversation appears online after Yosi edited out incriminating evidence against her.

Liina tries to leave the facility but is attacked and subdued by the surviving Alien who brings her back to the lair. There she discovers that Kaia's corpse is being turned into an Alien egg. After begging the alien for death, the Alien slices her leg revealing that Liina was in fact an Android. The alien who is able to communicate with Liina tells her that it is the last surviving member of their species and the species had been used by humans for scientific experiments. The Alien brings Liina to the control centre of the facility and tells her that Humans had no regard for her own wellbeing.

Liina, now emotionless and under the influence of the alien fires the weapon at the departing ship causing it to disintegrate in space killing everyone onboard.
