History
EverGreen Forestry was founded in 1909 by Jaro Kosik in the wake of the Great War. Immediately after the war, the regional governments of Greater Tralka started raising much needed funds by selling off state land, and Kosik purchased a large track of forest in Cezska. The name EverGreen was chosen to represent Kosik's commitment to sustainable tree farming and respect for the Greater Tralkan wilderness.
EverGreen Forestry played an important role in restoring the northern states of Torovska and Voldina after the widespread destruction of the war. Evergreen provided much of the needed construction materials to the companies contracted by the new Greater Tralkan Republic to build housing and crucial infrastructure, and used its profit to expand into other industries where its forestry operations gave it a distinct advantage.
Subsidiaries
In addition to logging and producing raw timber, EverGreen Forestry has several subsidiaries that process lumber into finished consumer products, including furniture and paper products.
EverHome Incorporated manufactures and sells furniture, and the furniture of select partner companies, through its own store, and is widely recognized as the 'public face' of the conglomerate.
