Vassengård, officially the State of Vassengård, is a constituent state of Delkora. It is the fourth largest state by population. Its capital is Izenhoth, and its largest city is Tordenhelm.
Etymology
The term Vassengardr first appeared in early Dane sagas circa 750 BCE as a reference to the homeland of the Vassen people, who predated Danish settlement. The current spelling was widely adopted by the late 17th century.
Geography
Vassengård is located in southern Delkora. It is bordered by Førelskov to the north, Banderhus to the west, Norvia to the east, Cybria to the northwest, and Megelan to the south. With the exception of the Dromsdal Mountains in the north, the state is characterized by mostly flat, arable land. Tordenhelm, the sixth largest city in Delkora, is located in the south not far from the Megelanese border. The capital, Izenhoth, is located in the west.

Vassengård has a population of 12,372,686 as of the 2020 Federal Census, making it the fourth largest state by population. It is one of the most linguistically diverse Delkoran states. Romansch and Italian are commonly spoken in the south, while German is a common second language in the west. The state has a considerable Traveller minority in the north.
Economy
Vassengård has traditionally been an important agricultural state. A large portion of its land is devoted to farming, while industry is mostly clustered in the Tordenhelm and Izenhoth metropolitan areas. Its share of national GDP amounts to 10.2%.
